DONT BOTHER. You ever been to a horrible buffet at a 2 star hotel because it was cheap? Well this place was that. But not cheap. We thought it was a charming, cosy local hang out. The decor was old and ugly but we thought this was part of the charm. The the lady was nice at first when luring us in to her den of awful food but quickly her mood turned sour when she saw we didn't want drinks and only ordered 2 dishes. We got the octopus salad and three pieces of stuffed squid. The squid was microwaved??? And when it came out it was stringy and dry. Gordon Ramsay would have a brain aneurysm. The octopus salad was okay but they charged us 7.50 euros for it. Service was terrible. Food was terrible. Decor was terrible. The only thing better than rubbing my face in dirt about this place was the toilet.

My husband and I saw this couple having ham slices and olives outside table so we ended up ordering the same food and a bottle of beer without asking the price. We enjoyed the atmosphere from this place but who would have thought that this woman inside the bar charged us 14 euros for few slices of ham and olives. It was total 17 euro including one beer. The most horrible thing was that the woman gave me 2 euros change after I paid 20 euro. I saw her holding 3 euros in her hand but she put down 2 euros only. I noticed immediately and asked for 1 euro more. She pretended to go back to til and get money out while holding euro coin her hand. Avoid at all cost, this is a tourist trap. They prey on tourist victims, no locals were eating although it looked like a Spanish local eatery. We paid 20 euro for 2 mains, 2 deserts and 2 drinks at a different small local restaurant. This place just charges you what they want once they know you can't speak Spanish. Only 1 bad review about our time in Barcelona and this was it.

Been coming here for 35 years. Used to been the best cortado in town. No more The cortado wasn't very good and the cognac tasted like the bottle had been opened for a long time. Had much better coffee in other neighborhood bars. How the mighty have fallen.
