  • La Rambla

One of the most famous streets in the world, pedestrianised all the way down the middle and an ideal place for people watching. La Rambla is full of bustle, with a wide variety of street stalls, street entertainers and pavement cafes. There is also a wide range of shops on either side.
  • Plaça de Catalunya

One of the best hangout spot in central Barcelona. Malls, coffee shops, and restaurants all around the square make it very tempting to forget that there's a world beyond that plaza.
  • Gothic Quarter

The oldest part of Barcelona with, as the name implies, lots of Gothic buildings. These include the Gothic Cathedral of St. Eulalia. There are also many quirky little squares and quirky little shops. The Parliament building of Catalonia and the City Hall of Barcelona are also to be found here.
  • Barceloneta Beach

One of the most attractive things about Barcelona is its position between the mountains and the sea. The sandy beaches are a great place to soak up the sun and obviously it costs nothing to stroll along the miles of golden sand.
