The waiters are the best sales people on the planet! "Would you like Evian, or still Mexican Water?". But of course we'll just choose the bottled water they serve to everyone, especially when traveling with a group of 4 kids. Out comes the premium (glass bottled) version of Evian...an overpriced Mexican bottled water cracked open before we have a chance to make an inquiry. I absolutely hate being hustled like this. I expect it on the streets. Not at the Fairmont and especially when safe bottled water is the norm at all of these reports you spend thousands nightly to stay at. The Banyan tree blows this place away with every part of their offering. Service. Food quality. Everything.

Very good food, the Sea Bass(grilled) was fresh & well made, grilled calamari & shrimp- all very good. Two side dishes were the best of all; lobster mac & cheese and the garlic mashed potatoes- must haves! Excellent. Good service & wonderful views. Honestly, if you are going to spend the money & time choose one of the restaurants at the Banyon Tree, they are just better.

Really terrible overcooked food, overall this resort seems to think nobody can handle flavor of any kind. Service was decent but who cares when they bring you mush.

Great atmosphere right on the ocean. Staff treats you like royalty and their fresh fish cannot be beat.
