Great place to eat japanese food, a menu with various types and variations to choose from with a very good presentation and taste. Great service.

Skip SOMA and check out Sushi Club. We had a very disappointing experience @ SOMA PDC. Miso soup was served 10 mins after our sushi hit the table. Tuna was white? Maybe it was in the freezer too long. Avocado was 2X size of fish portions in each roll. Manager came by to check-in and we asked for an extra bowl and he never came back.. I've been travelling to Japan for years and have to say this was the worst attempt at Japanese that I've ever experienced.

Very good sushi perhaps the best in Playa del Carmen though Sushi Club is maybe equally as good. This place is a little pricey, and hands down has the best decor of any sushi joint in town though Sushi Club is slightly more romantic. You have a good view of the street and can choose to either sit upstairs or downstairs which is a bit more lively. Portions aren’t as large as other sushi restaurants but as I said before it may just be the best sushi in Playa del Carmen. Worth a visit, NOTE: not child friendly unless you plan on sitting downstairs and even so it’s not the best restaurant if you have young children
