First time tasting a Francesinha and we loved it - one of this cafe's signature dishes. The overall impression we had was great - the atmosphere is feeling like a more upscale cafe, food is well presented, the staff looks formal and they were great in explaining everything in English.

Do not go if you have kids. When you read SLOW service, multiply it by 10. We asked to be seated, even though there was a table available right away, after 5 minutes we just seated ourselves. After another 5 they brought us the menus, and yet after another 10 we were able to get some attention and order. All of the above was fast. We ordered 4 things, including sausage board from the appetizer section. In another hour all we got was 2 of the pies and 2 beers. Then I asked the waiter when the food was coming, he said 5 minutes. I told him that if it is not 5 minutes we are leaving. In about 7 he showed up with the sausage board - are you kidding me???? It takes an hour to cut 15 pieces of meat? And that was already after I said that we no longer need appetizers, since it defeated the purpose. This was the first time I left the restaurant without food.
