If you know what this place is about and you still want to eat here, then knock yourself out. I mean that literally; go knock yourself out right now. I don't know, use a hammer or something. Seriously, I loath this place and everything it stands for. I loath every obnoxious detail, from the smarmy little gate-keeping hounds, trained to sniff out a dearth of designer labels, right up to the pretentious patrons, hungrier for recognition than they are for sub-par French cuisine. If you're pledged to the fraternity of wannabe actor douche, then put on your pin and go. Otherwise, avoid this place like the plague, or, if you can, call in an airstrike.

It's one of my ultimate favorite places in Los Angeles. I've never had a bad experience at Chateau. It's one of the few places in the city that has some great history and remains cool. If you're looking for a nice drink or great food with the best ambiance, look no further!

Came to this place on a whim with some friends to a VIP party in the rooftop bar.....so....fancy! It's pretty expensive for my taste but, being on someone else's tab, I really got to enjoy it to it's fullest. The food is great. The drinks are great! I didn't go into the hotel part at all but if you are going to the bar and have the cash to spend a TON on drinks and food then by all means this place lives up to it's reputation.
