If you are a fan of IPA maybe you will like the beer selection more than I did. But I really did enjoy the social atmosphere and local art on display.

Came here on Monday 9/9/13 (coincidentally, the first night of Monday Night Football), and we were told that we weren't allowed to use our Yelp voucher this night. We checked the Yelp terms of sale and the terms on the voucher, none of which indicated that the restaurant could deny us the ability to use the voucher on game day. As a matter of fact, the voucher indicated the opposite: "Business Owner: Deal must be honored according to terms on voucher." After half an hour of back-and-forth with the waiter (we asked to see the owner, but he declined), the waiter told us that the owner would make an 'exception' for us and that we couldn't do this again. This would all make sense if the place was super crowded (30% occupied max) or if it had deals for the night (none), but neither were the case. Off to a bad start. We ordered garlic fries, a turkey burger, a cranberry chicken salad, and a couple beers. The garlic fries were so-so (the garlic was not evenly distributed, all of it was at the bottom). The turkey burger was prepared well, no complaints there. The cranberry chicken salad... had bones in it. They claim to have 100 beers on tap, but they don't. When we wanted to choose our beers, we each had to go through five or six choices before we arrived at a beer which they had in stock. Our waiter was a nice guy, but there are way too many problems with this place for me to consider coming back anytime soon.

The first thing you should know is you have to pay to park at a public lot. Not really a big deal for me as I kind of expected it in downtown L.A. Second, we went at lunch-ish (around 3pm) and the place was nearly empty. Third, the service is sloooooooow. Or orders went like this: Order #1 - 1 mixed drink, 1 flight paddle, 3 appetizers. Order #2 - 1 mixed drink, 1 beer. That’s it. It took one hour from the time we were seated to the time we walked out the door. We were seated right away, which is a plus. After that it was all downhill. Our waitress (who informed us her shift was over) ended up taking our order anyway because our waiter never showed up. One beer I wanted to taste was out. I couldn’t buy a pen to fill out the flight paddle taster card. When it was time to pay, I had my credit card out and ready because we’d been waiting so long that I didn’t want one more thing to wait for, but it was pointless as the waiter dropped off the check and practically ran away. I didn’t even have time to hand it back to him. I then watched him watching the NBA All Star game while I stood waiting to pay for my food. I ended up going to the bar and just dropping off my money so I could tell someone how slow the service had been. I’m not normally a non-tipper, but this guy wasn’t busy and was still inattentive and slow. Plus he was actively, openly slacking off by watching T.V. I think he got about a $.70 tip and I don’t feel at all bad about it. At all. Needless to say, I won't be going back.
