In general, I have been impressed - and surprised -with the quality of Mexican food in Barcelona. I say that as a Californian who’s grown up with very good Mexican food. This is one of two places in Gràcia that I think is authentic and delicious. This place has maybe slightly less great tacos, but makes up for it in its options: you can get a surtido de tacos for 11,50 and there are a bunch of other traditional Mexican dishes. What I don’t understand is why every restaurant uses tomatoes in their guac. Almost unforgivable, but hey, trade offs.

After waiting for a long time they served our drink (michelada) with a fly on it. We asked very politely if they could change the drink for a new one without a fly. We saw with our own eyes how the restaurant manager asked the waitress to remove the fly and bring back the same drink. We had to ask again for them to change it —then they admitted that it was the same drink but didn't apologize. All the waitresses were super rude until we left.

Nice place for a Mexican bite, the filled corn full was very tasty. Other dishes ( especially the ones with red sauce) were a bit too meaty. Price ok, not on the cheap side though. With some vegetarian options would have deserved 5 stars
