Rick Steves guide book is wrong, the food here is average at best.
For our first Catalan food, it was a disappointment.
We ordered Pan Tomate, Crqueta Jamon, Chiporones, Nestea, Canelones Bogavante & Huevos Fritos. Maybe the restaurant had a new owner or cook, whatever the case is the foods here was over-priced, greasy and not much flavor.

This is a great resto hidden at the back of the market. It has two levels, medium atmosphere. Service is great, and the food is traditional Catalan. The prices are quite good, and I fed two kids, four adults, with Sangria aplenty for 80 Euros. Also useful for some, they serve dinner earlier than most local restaurants. We ate there at 7PM....although somewhat lonely! It was filling up as we left.
One treat I like from the region is the "Pa amb tomaquet" toast with garlic, tomato, and olive oil. It's an appetizer you flavor yourself at the table by smearing the garlic on toast, then smashing the tomato, then drizzling on the oil.
