A truly disappointing end to a decent evening... I visited this restaurant as a celebratory night with my mom as we travelled through Spain. We had planned to have a fancy night out and splurge for once during our trip, and La Taverna del Clinic was rated #1 in our guide book. We had reservations for 9:30pm and even arrived early as a courteous gesture. At the beginning of the experience, I felt the waiting staff to be very kind, although my mom was admittedly contemplating the menu and they kept coming back making her feel somewhat pressured into making a choice. The food was quite good, but nothing to rave about: we had patatas bravas, duck canneloni, a mushroom special, brazed duck, oxtail, a 40€ bottle of wine and desert. All had been sailing smoothly until around 11:45pm, at which point they decided they wanted to close down although there was still another table of 8 in the restaurant as well as a table of 4 outside, plus ourselves. By that time, we were all done, patiently waiting for the check. Instead of noticing that we were waving to grab their attention, the staff seemed solely focused on packing up and heading out. As our waitress was cleaning dishes behind the bar, an older gentleman whom we believe to be the manager started making an unbelievably loud noise emptying an enormous ice bucket into a sink at the bar, one shovel scoop at a time. The noise was so loud that everyone in the restaurant was staring at the employees. Instead of realizing they were being incredibly rude to guests like us (who were paying more or less 80€ -- about 100$ USD), the staff started closing the lights off in half the restaurant; a cook came out of the kitchen with his motorcycle helmet on his head and started walking out of the place; an employee with her casual clothes strolled about saying goodbye to her collegues... All the while we still hadn't received our bill, but we felt terribly unwelcome and pressed to leave. It would have been much more courteous to announce earlier on in the evening that they'd be closing at whatever time, and kindly ask us to free up the table. To purposefully continue making a ruckus despite 10 people in your restaurant staring at you, just to get them to clearly understand you want them to leave, is simply unacceptable for any place that wants to charge their guests as much for a meal. I hope, if this review accomplishes anything, that the owners reorganize their way of closing shop. This place has culinary potential, but no restaurant can keep a clientele if their guests feel unwelcome.

Amazing food and Uber friendly service. Don't miss it.

This is the best restaurant of Barcelona. New experience, New taste, the one.
