It was inexpensive, but my room was smaller than I'd hoped. There was no hot water in the showers when I woke up today (there was a broken water heater... so this is just a temporary situation), and although I understand that these things happen from time to time, I can't ignore it in a review like this... especially after spending 30 hours on a ferry from Morocco... I desperately needed a shower. The place was hard to find (no sign inside or out of the building) and then they complained that I was later than they expected (my ferry from Africa was late). However, the WiFi works, the rooms are clean and secure, and there's free tea. The location is actually very good. It's far enough away from La Rambla to be quiet, but just a short walk when you want to explore. I also made the short walk up to Gaudi's famous cathedral this afternoon... perhaps a 10 minute walk, and the location to catch the bus to the airport is even closer than La Rambla.

Great location, friendly staff and beautiful building. Room was a little stuffy with no AC or windows.
