I really like the design of this place but sadly there's slim to none vegan options and only 2-3 vegetarian options which were small portions and not customizable. So we tried to fill up on deserts, the banana roti had some unexpected flavors (mint what are you doing in there!) but the Chinese bread was fried and delicious. Recommend for groups of meat eaters.

Hawker 45 was a really surprising and wonderful whiff of southeast Asian flavors distilled into fine dining formats - every dish we had here was really creative and delightful. It's easy to use Asian flavors in a straightforward manner but this restaurant actually transforms and creates new textures and flavor profiles with it - there is a distinct sense of respect and playfulness around each ingredient (for example, the cold tom yam tofu and the laksa rice!). The cocktails were also stunning, we were amazed at how harmoniously the taste of familiar and savoury southeast Asian spices came together in a magical gimlet. This meal was truly different from everything else we had in Barcelona. A real breath of fresh air and the friendly staff make the experience truly good fun.
