I got there about 6:30pm. The girl helping me was awesome!! So helpful and patient, since I could not make up my mind what my 2 entree choices should be. I will definitely go back :-)

We got the regular plate with 4 entree and 2 starch choices. At 1:30 PM on a weekday it was a 20 min wait. You need to take a number and wait to be called. One regular plate is enough to feed two, or one big appetite. They also gave us an extra plate. Fast friendly service once it's your turn, and food is great! Lots of folks get the manapua, pork hash, and other Chinese bakery type items to go.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Don’t forget to get a ticket the moment you walk in otherwise if it’s busy you’ll be waiting a while until you can order. The food is plentiful when picking choices. The amount of food they give for the price you pay is worth it. Regular plate can feed a family of 4 or two hungry people and keep you stuffed for hours.

Portion sizes are HUGE, service is not AMAZING but normally good. Food is tasty but not the best I've ever had. This is a great place to have a heavy lunch. My son husband and I normally share 1 plate and still have left overs.

Ok, I wanted tea cookies and a pleasant young person was obliging. Yet, I was sold day old cookies with no discount. Most were smashed too! The only upside was a very nice older gentleman, another customer, gave me a number as he took his own. Most would've just taken the number without thought and gone ahead of me. Not this man, thoughtful and humorous too. Hopefully you too will be lucky enough to see him.

Besides the usual manapua, pork hash, and rice cakes their Plate lunches are great. I like the ginger chicken fried rice. And they have numerous selection in entrees.

I'm a true tourist. I had no idea what to purchase. So, the young lady who served me was gentle and patient and explained the dishes to me. I purchased a meal and monopua. The meal was generous enough for four portions. Very good!
