Very impressed with the food, drinks, and atmosphere. I have lived in Okinawa for decades so I think I have a valid end experienced perspective. .

We had a great experience at this unique and unusual place. The staff preferred to speak Japanese wich was part of its charm and cool factor! The food, specially the hamachi, is often imported from Japan, so also the tiny fresh squid and other exquisite delicious treats. We absolutely loved our time there and would come back! No reservations, no service. We walked in with family of five, three kids at 5:30 PM and ready to eat. The restaurant was empty. They offered 9:30 PM. Great! So pretentious. Don't bother if you are with kids. We went a year ago on a date night, I recall natto ice cream dessert, which my son may like. I don't recall any thing else. Must be poor Okinawan food because my experiences in Japan have been phenomenal.

Great little Izakaya near University. Great for dates or grabbing a few beers with a friend. Food is amazing and you won't be disappointed.
