I have eaten at a lot of great restaurants on this island: Kokohead Grill, Top of Waikiki, the Cave, Bread and Butter... But this place really takes the cake. This hole-in-the wall informal come-and-go type restaurant served some of the best food I've had on the island. I'm disappointed that I've been here for three years and have only just now found Silk Road. They also have a "grocery" type of section that has a lot of authentic Easter European foods that have been shipped from overseas from cold cuts to candy bars. Picked up some kvas and cemechki (sunflower seeds) while I was there. Great place.

Friendly staff made me feel welcome Didn’t know what I wanted to try and she helped me decide It was all delicious Somsa, peroshki, fried lagman I tried it all and was glad for the experience The food was special and comforting

Friendly service! Every aspect of the plate was enjoyable, not just the meat main dish--rice, salad, etc. Wonderful meat pastries as well! Wishing I lived locally to come here often.
