I've beem living here for almost two years searching for a place that serves actual fried chicken on the island, with no luck. Many versions of it, but nothing was close. Kentucky Fried Chicken changed their recipe for their original fried chicken, in my opinion, so Popeye's gets my vote.

The chicken is the best here as far as chain restaurants are concerned. You can get it mild or spicy with bucket deals and a good variety of sides.

Three stars cause the food is so one! Chicken's always good but that biscuit got me ordering extra two. My only issue is the slowness of the service. I ate there two evenings last week. The first night took close to fifteen minutes. Second time took over twenty minutes.

Chicken was cold, dry, over cooked and batter too thick. No napkin nor honey provided in my take out bag. Workers all looked sour and unhappy. Sorry place. I’d travel to Kalihi or even to Waipahu Popeyes next time.

Aweful fast food great sweet ice tea!!! But I like KFC better. So I maybe biased. You can really flip this around if it is KFC.

Second time I have been to a Popeyes, first-time in Japan, in the Next and this time in Honolulu Nex, I have to say best fried chicken and friendly service. Very enjoyable. Mahalo

Parking is really bad, the drive thru can be busy, and the last time we went they got our order wrong, but the food is good. My favorite is popcorn shrimp combo with Cajun fries and sweet tea.

Food is fast and normally done right. Last two times the chicken was perfect and they gave me the right amount of fries. You have to watch out or they'll skimp your fries. Overall. I love Popeyes and it's only 10 mins away from my apt.

I am rating Popeyes a two this morning because Alyssia M (name on receipt) was quite rude while waiting on me. When I mentioned that the Coke was out, both ladies replied but acted like I was bothering them.
