This place got great reviews. Lots of locals which was great to get out of Waikiki. Unfortunately our food wasn't fantastic like we hoped. Had the fried rice. It was great except it was barely warm when served. The pork chops were a little dry. The garlic chicken was the best. Hot and moist. Staff was great. Drinks are great.

One of my favorite restaurants /bars. Valet is your best option. Paid parking in the adjacent lot is plentiful, but make sure you pay and don't overrun your allotted time. They do tow.

Best food in Oahu. Make reservations or sit at the bar. Portions are huge and expertly prepared. Delicious!

This place is the best. It's a local/native favorite, and the food is incredible. It is small and always packed, so try to make reservations a couple days ahead or you will have to wait an hour or more, but it's still worth it. Family style, so you order a few things and all share. We had Korean BBQ beef, Japanese fried chicken, pork chops, garlic edamame, and Hawaiian fried rice and everything was delicious.

Waitstaff was nice once they arrived but service was slow. We asked another waiter for some plates and he just refused. Food is plentiful. The fried rice is enough to feed at least 6. All the portions are huge!

I've always been a fan of the original SSI and was happy to hear they opened another. The new venue is more upscale with a more trendy ambiance. The food as always is delicious an featured many local favorites including their famous pork chop. Bar and wait service were courteous and timely. The only thing that plagued the original location and continues to be an issue here is free parking unless you are open to forking over a few bucks for either paid valet or paid parking next door. Other than that, highly recommended for both small family dinners or large social gatherings.

We saw this restaurant on Food Paradise and it looked amazing. We've had a number of locals recommend it as well. We went the location on Kapahulu Ave. Parking is sparse. It's good too keep in mind that their dishes are served family style. Get the fried rice and kalbi. Bring your appetite.

I joined my friend for their alumni get together at side street inn. The room was separated from the main area but had large TVs and catered to at least 40ish people. The food was great, crispy fries, garlic fried chicken, and wonderful poi bun sliders to name a few things.

I had an amazing experience at Side Street. Wonderful family style options for many different palettes. The fish specials on that night (Opah & Sunfish) were excellent and everyone in my party loved their dishes. A great local spot!
