This is the best value for money in porto and probably portugal. They have the fastest, most organized waitor and no matter how many people are seated + waiting outside for a spot to open, your bread and butter or ordered food will be delivered fast. Note, it's a very popular spot, so i would suggest coming in the off hours, i.e. between 15:00-19:00 because otherwise you'll probably have to wait outside for a table to open up. That said, it's definitelly worth the wait. The food is fantastic ( we had carapau - mackerell and bachalau - cod on two occassions and both were really really delicious). Also, it looked like everyone around was enjoying their meal too. All in all, it's a small, cheap restaurant that doesn't bother with decoration but delivers great food at a low price.

Very tasty authentic Portuguese home style cooking. Good size portions and reasonably priced. The fact that it's frequented almost exclusively by locals is very telling. Can't recommend highly enough.
