I had a great experience here! Came up to watch the sunset and it was beautiful. The grounds are well worth a look at as well, through it I discovered some neat viewing platforms! It's quite nice to get away from the tourist hustle and bustle. The church closes for mass after lunch and doesn't reopen until 3 or so, so bear that in mind when planning your visit! Only a few minutes down from the Michelangelo piazza, yet positively deserted in comparison. You won't find guys trying to sell selfie sticks here! However, there is a little church-run souvenir shop which sells postcards, drinks, plus some other nice things, not just your generic trinkets.

It was magical and the view was breath taking. I know I'm being dramatic, but I have to be dramatic to even come close to explaining how much I loved it here.
