Having experience in a few opportunities and ever get many sorprice since the food, services and really strong personality have this place it's ever to recomend at all. Once you are in Lima get at reservation have several good options and good maridaje.

Food was great. English service wasn't the most stunning, but you could more or less make out what each of the 17 courses were.

My wife and I just came back from having dinner Astrid and Gaston in San Isidro and we ordered the tasting menu. While the food was excellent, the wine pairing were horrible! IN particular, the champagne was oxidized, and when we brought this up to the wine steward, he refused to acknowledge our complaint. Later, he served a red wine from the Canete region of Peru that he said has tremendous aroma because it is an "organic" wine. We found it to have such a putrid smell and the taste was unbelievably bad! He again refused to acknowledged this. I brought this up to Astrid herself, who was greeting the guests. She apologized and told the server to give us another vintage. It was a better selection. However, the entire episode has given us such a bad experience that we shall never go back there again, nor will be recommend it to all our international friends.
