Poor service and attitude. Did not apologise for their mistake and accused customer for not knowing what the dishes are. When they served the wrong dish they said it's on the house but 2 min later they took it away. They served the Peking duck with just the skin after the waitress who took our order explained that it will come with meat. I asked to speak to someone but no one attended. And in the end not just I didn't get an apology or explanation, but some silly excuse that I do not know what the dishes should be like (when my family runs a number of Chinese restaurant). I don't have a picky palate but The roast pork and Peking duck are inedible - oily skin, dry meat, oily and hard pastry.

We have been going back to the Shanghai 1930 for more than 10 years and have always had a wonderful experience.. The menu is varied and the food is delicious. Add to that a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere and efficient service. The owner and his daughters make sure that everyone is treated with care. Highly recommended!
