The 7-tier Pagoda of 10,000 Buddhas, which dominates the temple, is influenced by the architectural styles of the Thais, Burmese and Chinese. After exploring the temple complex, we'll take the funicular rail ride up Penang Hill. Located 830m above sea level, this was once a cool hill retreat during the colonial days. Now, it's a perfect spot for a panoramic view of Georgetown and the Straits of Malacca. On a clear day, you might even see Butterworth on the mainland.
