You will be greeted at the Lima Airport and taken to your hotel to spend the day at your leisure. Overnight in Lima

Lima to Puerto Maldonado

Puerto Maldonado
In the morning, your private driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you to Lima Airport in time for your hour domestic flight to Puerto Maldonado. Upon your arrival at the airport, your representative will take you to the river port, where your Amazon jungle adventure will begin.

Tambopata National Reserve
Then, you will board a private boat and take a river journey to our lodge. You will have a great experience taking part in the Trail System Adventure, which will allow you to discover the incredible realm of the Amazon forest. You will see exotic rainforest trees and Amazonian lizards, birds and insects. You will then return to the lodge to relax and enjoy a fantastic lunch. During the afternoon, you will be treated to a private Twilight River Boat Ride where you will witness the enchanting transformation of the Amazon jungle from day to night and the new creatures that emerge from the darkness. Keep your eyes to the banks as you explore the river and search for nighttime species, such as nightjars, owls, capybaras and caimans. Sandoval Lake and Treetop Canopy Walking

Firstly, you will take an enchanting thirty-minute boat trip to arrive to the Tambopata National Reserve. You will smell the fresh air and hear the beautiful bird songs as you walk for one hour through the rainforest to arrive at the stunningly-clear, pine-rimmed Sandoval Lake. Upon arrival, a wooden canoe will be ready and waiting to take you in search of some marvelous Amazonian critters such as giant otters, red howler monkeys, macaws, pre-historic hoatzins and anacondas. Then, we will return back to the lodge to have lunch. After you have relaxed, we will take you to the Canopy Walkway, where you will literally walk through the Amazon treetops on suspension bridges linked to observation platforms that give spectacular views. You will also experience the Anaconda Walk along a 200m wooden bridge over the Aguajales Swamps. Then, we will return to the lodge. (Program is subject to change due to availability)

Puerto Maldonado to Cusco

After you enjoyed your breakfast, we will take you to visit the Butterfly House, where you will see and learn about the diverse characteristics of these wonderful species. From here, we will take you to Puerto Maldonado Airport in time for your one hour domestic flight to Cusco.

Upon arrival to the Incan Empire of Cusco, you will be greeted with a welcoming hot coca tea and be given a special gift from the Andes. We will then take you to your hotel, where you will have the rest of the day to spend at your leisure.

Mercado Central de San Pedro
You will visit the different sections of this old market such us fruit section, artisan section, and more. Learn about the local variety of products and ingredients. Then, head back to your hotel. Overnight in Cusco.

Maras, Moray, Ollantaytambo and Train to Aguas Calientes

Moray
Visit Maras and see its traditional streets. Admire the culture and people wearing traditional clothing. Then, see the circular terraces of Moray and enjoy a delicious lunch in a local house

Salinas de Maras
After Moray, we will head to the Salt Terraces of Maras and learn about an ancient pre-Incan method of producing salt. After that, you will visit the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo.

Archaeological Park Ollantaytambo
You will visit the impressive Ollantaytambo ruins, temples and terraces.You will even enter an original house to observe the building and see how people used to live. After your Sacred Valley tour, you'll be taken to the Ollantaytambo train station to take the 1.5-hour train journey to Aguas Calientes.

Machu Picchu and Expedition Train to Cusco

Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu
Visit the magnificent site of Machu Picchu ´The Lost City of the Incas. Enjoy a 2-hour guided tour and see the Temples of the Sun and the Condor, aqueducts and houses, and learn all about the Incan Sacred Terraces. Explore the site on your own doing an optional activity and then return to Aguas Calientes in the afternoon, where you will take the train to Cusco. Once there, you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Cusco.

Cusco to Puno (Lake Titicaca)

San Pedro Apostol de Andahuaylillas
Head to the bus station for your 9-hour scenic coach journey to Lake Titicaca. Make a stop at Andahuaylillas Church, known as the Andean Sistine Chapel.

Parque Arqueologico De Raqchi
Afterward, you will make a stop at the town of Racchi to visit the Incan temple of Wiracocha and discover this construction with adobe brick walls of 11 meters high. Then, enjoy a delicious buffet lunch of traditional Peruvian dishes at Sicuani. You will then reach the midway point between Cusco and Puno which is also the highest point of the journey, La Raya standing 14,100 feet (4,300 meters). Continue to Pukara.

Pucara
Visit Pukara, famous for its ceramic production and its most famous figurines, the two bulls. At 5pm, you will reach Puno, which lies on the banks of Lake Titicaca. A representative will be waiting for you at the bus station to transfer you to your hotel.

Uros Floating Islands and Taquile Island

Uros Floating Islands
Today, we will meet you at your hotel and taken to the highest navigable lake in the world, Lake Titicaca.
During the morning, you will visit the unique Uros Floating Islands, which have been built of only totora reeds. You will be astonished to see how the locals use the totora reeds to build many objects essential in their daily lives. As part of your visit you will explore the lake with a trip around the islands by totora reed canoe. After the totara reed canoe ride, you will continue on to Taquile Island via motor fast boat. You will have time to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery of Lake Titicaca for one hour.

Taquile Island
Once you have arrived to the island, you will walk around the area and appreciate the beautiful landscapes. After your visit to Taquile Island you will enjoy a locally prepared lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, we will cross the lake via boat and we will transfer you back to your hotel.

Lake Titicaca, Lima and International Flight

You will be transferred to the Juliaca Airport for your domestic flight to Lima. You arrive in Lima in time for your connecting international flight.

• Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
• Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
• A minimum of 2 people per booking is required
• It is recommended you bring light pants, long sleeved shirts, hiking shoes, rain jacket, day pack, flashlight, binoculars, pocket knife and insect repellent
• Please have a small bag packed as luggage will be restricted in the Amazon Lodge. Your remaining luggage will be stored safely in the Office in Puerto Maldonado
