You can learn calligraphy as an art cherished in our ninja clan.

The purpose of training calligraphy is the same as the martial arts training: to be able to keep peace of mind under any kind of circumstance as shinobi.

Not many know that there used be be at least one family that specialize in the art of calligraphy in each ninja clan. Those families were in charge of writing letters to feudal lords and deciphering documents. Their knowledge was vast from Chinese classics to science and medicine so that they could communicate well with the nobility and scholars as well as the Sengoku feudal lords.

Our clan served the Tokugawa Shogunate and we have been following our ancestors footsteps and kept our traditions to this date.

What you will do:
1 Wear a training wear of our clan.
2. Explanation on the 6 essential tools of the ninja
3. Introduction to calligraphy
4. Instructor's demonstration
5. Practice writing with a brush
6. Write on shikishi paper to finish your writing up as a work of art
7. Photo taking
This is for serious people who want to learn the basic paying attentions to the details of swordsmanship as a student of the dojo.

Get instruction from a master ninshi with a qualified interpreter.
This will give you a deeper insight into our ninshi culture.
*Ninshi ＝Shinobi Samurai, A person of samurai lineage who trains both shinobi and samurai.

When the Dojo is used for martial arts activities,in the Musashi Ninja Clan apartment about 10 minutes away from dojo. In this case, the meeting place will be specified when booking request is made.
