En-route stop at Devon Waterfall. known as the ‘Veil of the Valley’, is situated 6 km (3.7 mi) west of Talawakele, on the A7 highway. The falls is named after a pioneer English coffee planter called Devon, whose plantation was situated nearby the falls. The waterfall is 97 m (318 ft) high and is the 19th highest in the country.

Early in the morning visit Horton Plains National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located on the eastern edge of the Central Highlands, midway between Nuwara Eliya and Hatton. It is a forest reserve, where the land rises to 2,500 meters above sea level. The region is known as a super biodiversity hotspot. Horton Plains is home to an extraordinary range of flora and fauna, including several endangered species. It is also home for Sri Lankan Leopards and deer. The park is named after the British governor Sir Robert Horton.

Upon arrival to Dambula, visit Golden Buddha Temple, which has the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. It has been treasured by many kings since the 1st century B.C. The rock towers 160 meters over the surrounding plains and houses 5 cave temples with some unique and significant historical drawings. It would be an amazing experience if you could climb up and enjoy the magnificent view from the top of the rock.

Thereafter, you'll enjoy a wonderful cultural village tour while exploring the beautiful countryside. It will start with a Bullock Cart ride, one of the most ancient and prime transportation systems in Sri Lanka, still used in some villages. In the morning, you will visit Sigiriya Lion Rock, an ancient rock fortress located near the town of Dambulla. Sigiriya today is a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE and it is one of the best-preserved examples of ancient architecture.

Afternoon, your tour leader will take you to Minneriya/Kaudulla National Park for an afternoon 4x4 Jeep safari, since it is the best time to spot wild elephants on their natural habitat. If you're up for a serious rumble in the jungle, then Minneriya/Kaudulla is your ideal destination! Spreading over 8800 hectares, this park is mainly a sanctuary for elephants. It is always a pleasure to watch baby elephants playing with water at the centrepiece Lake of the park. This place is known as the largest elephant gathering place in the world.

Passikudh beach, which extends across 7-8 kilometres, is truly a symbol of peace, calmness and cleanness.
