Kairaouine Mosque
Al Quaraouiyine (Karaouiyne) is a university. According to tradition, its construction began in 859 during the reign of the Idrissid dynasty. It is considered the oldest university in the world still in operation by UNESCO, the Guinness Book of Records, and by several historians.

Old fortified medina with narrow pedestrian streets and ornate entrances such as the Bab Guissa The Medina is one of the best-preserved areas of the Muslim world on earth and its physiognomy has hardly changed.

Al-Attarine Madrasa
The Attarine Madrasa is a former Koranic school built between 1323 and 1325 by the Marinid sultan Abu Said Othman.It was named after the adjoining perfume and spice souk: the souk el-Attarine.

Bou Inania Medersa
The Medersa Bou 'Inania is built between 1350 and 1355 for the sultan Abu' Inan Faris, under the Mérinides dynasty. It is the only medersa in Fez to have a minaret.

Fontaine Nejjarine
Monumental with zelliges, the Nejjarine fountain is one of the most beautiful public fountains in the medina of Fez and dates from the 17th century

Fez Mellah
The Mellah de Fez is the historic Jewish quarter of Fez, Morocco. It is located in Fez el-Jdid, the part of Fez that contains the Royal Palace, and it was established in 1438. It is considered the oldest Jewish-only district in Morocco.
