Keflavik
You arrive in Iceland and travel independently from the airport to your hotel in Reykjavík (or with an optional transfer offered by us).
Blue Lagoon Tour
1
Blue Lagoon
After the Reykjavík tour we go on a guided afternoon tour to the famous Blue Lagoon. The Blue Lagoon is located in a sprawling, 800-year-old lava field in the heart of the Reykjanes Peninsula – a UNESCO Geopark. The spa site is on the National Geographic list of 25 wonders of the world, claiming it is a geothermal gift of nature.
The Lagoon is famous for its ethereal milky-blue waters. Remaining at 39°C all year round, the waters are rich in silica and minerals. Soak in the Lagoon, slather on a silica mud mask and enjoy the complimentary drink at the swim-up bar.
Travel to the Lagoon and back to Reykjavík is 2 hours. Stay in the Lagoon is 2 hours. Total time of this activity is therefore 4 hours.
Duration: 4 hours
The Golden Circle
1
Thingvellir National Park
Pickup 08:30
1 hour drive from Reykjavík to Þingvellir National Park.
We tour the renowned Golden Circle, including visiting National Park and Rift Valley at Þingvellir, where the North American and European tectonic plates drift apart. In addition, the ancient Icelandic parliament was established there in 930. It is, therefore, a sacred place for Icelanders.
Duration: 60 minutes
2
Geysir
Next we head to the Geysir hot spring area (1 hour drive from Þingvellir), home to the famous Geysir hot spring from which all other geysers take their name. Geysir is no longer active, but another hot spring, Strokkur, erupts every few minutes.
Here the guests have the opportunity to eat lunch.
Duration: 2 hours
3
Gullfoss Waterfall
We then visit Gullfoss next. Gullfoss, Iceland's iconic waterfall, is a breathtaking natural wonder located along the Hvítá River. Plunging into a rugged canyon, the falls create a stunning two-tiered cascade, captivating visitors with its thunderous roar and misty ambiance.
The name "Golden Falls" is fitting, as the waters often take on a golden hue in the sunlight. Accessible viewing platforms offer an up-close encounter with the sheer power and beauty of Gullfoss, making it a must-see destination for those exploring Iceland's awe-inspiring landscapes.
From Gullfoss we travel back to Reykjavík (about 2 hour drive)
Duration: 60 minutes
South Shore
1
Seljalandsfoss
Pickup 08:30
On this day, we will enjoy a ride along the south coast of Iceland. This coastal road offers views of glacier tongues, waterfalls, rugged hills, black sand beaches, and its famous volcanoes.
We travel to Seljalandsfoss Waterfall (about 2 hour drive from Reykjavík), with a height of 60 m. You can walk behind the waterfall but dress well, as the water mist behind the waterfall can make you wet.
Duration: 60 minutes
2
Skogafoss
Next, we admire the majestic Skógafoss Waterfall. It is one of the most powerful waterfalls in the country, 60 m high and 25 m wide. Due to the amount of spray the waterfall consistently produces, a single or double rainbow is usually visible on sunny days.
Duration: 60 minutes
3
Reynisfjara Beach
Next, we stop by the black sand beach at Reynisfjara to view the geological formation and the smashing waves. Be careful not to step too close as the waves can be dangerous.
Duration: 2 hours
