Itinerary

Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

1
Amboseli National Park Begin the safari from your city hotel/JKIA Airport at 8 am driving south east to Amboseli National Park. Have lunch while relaxing after checking in to your camp in Amboseli. Later you will do a game drive inside the park. Crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak, the Amboseli National Parks is one of Kenya's most popular parks. The name "Amboseli" comes from a Maasai word meaning "salty dust", and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the Savannah and woodlands. Get back to the camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Duration:  5 hours

Amboseli National Park

1
Amboseli National Park After breakfast you will do a full-day game drive, breaking for lunch. Africa’s highest peak broods over the southern boundary of the park, and while cloud cover can render the mountain’s massive bulk invisible for much of the day, you’ll be rewarded with stunning vistas when the weather clears, usually at dawn and/or dusk. Wind up your safari in the evening as you return to the camp.

Duration:  10 hours

Amboseli to Lake Naivasha

1
Lake Naivasha Early morning start to Lake Naivasha after breakfast. Drive comfortably to Lake Naivasha, one of the Great Rift Valley Lakes. Upon arrival check in at your resort, have lunch as you rest up. The afternoon gives you a chance for an optional boat ride to Crescent Island. Dinner and overnight at your resort.

Duration:  4 hours

Hell's Gate National Park to Lake Nakuru National Park

1
Lake Nakuru National Park Drive to Hell’s Gate National Park in the early morning. Here you can bike among wildlife, hike the gorges or rock climb. Later depart to Lake Nakuru arriving in time for lunch. After lunch you will enjoy a full afternoon of game viewing. Lake Nakuru is now a rhino sanctuary, harbouring a population of over 40 black and over 60 white rhinos, but the flamingos, of course, have always been the main attraction. At times there may be almost 2 million flamingos in the residence, forming a stunningly beautiful deep pink band around the edge of the lake shore. Return to your hotel in the evening for dinner.

Duration:  6 hours

2
Hell's Gate National Park Enjoy a game drive in the park. Other optional activities include hiking the gorges, or cycling among wildlife.

Duration:  4 hours

Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara National Reserve

1
Maasai Mara National Reserve Bid Lake Nakuru goodbye as you head to Masai Mara. You will be welcomed at the camp with delicious lunch. Rest for a while then go for a game drive inside the park. The classic Mara landscape is golden savannah: flat grasslands with plentiful grazing and the perfect terrain for cheetahs to chase down an unlucky Thomson’s gazelle. From about July, two million wildebeest traverse the Mara River into the Masai Mara National Reserve to feast on fresh and succulent savannah. Wind up your safari in the evening as you return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Duration:  6 hours

Full-day Maasai Mara

1
Maasai Mara National Reserve This is a full day of game viewing with packed lunch served picnic-style inside the park. As you drive into the park you will notice the incredible scenery of smoothly rolling African savannah plains. Diverse animal species roam around the park in their natural habitat unconfined. The game reserve is quite the animal kingdom and likely the very best place to see an amazing eco system of African wildlife in the wilderness. Wind up your safari in the evening as you return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Duration:  10 hours
