Explore Fatehpur Sikri, the majestic ancient city located 40 kilometers west of Agra. Once the capital of the Mughal Empire from 1572 to 1585 under Emperor Akbar, it holds historical significance, especially after Akbar's consultation with the Sufi Saint Shaikh Salim Chishti, whose prophecy of a Mughal heir led to the city's establishment.
