Fontainhas Fontainhas is an old Latin Quarter in Panjim that to this day maintains its Portuguese influence, particularly through its architecture. It includes narrow and picturesque winding streets like those found in many European cities, old villas and buildings with projecting balconies painted in the traditional tones of pale yellow, green, or blue, and roofs made of red coloured tiles, etc. Fontainhas' heritage ambience represents the traditional Portuguese influence in the area.

Mandovi River The Mahadayi/Mandovi River, also known as Mahadayi or Mhadei river, is described as the lifeline of the Indian state of Goa. The Mandovi and the Zuari are the two primary rivers in the state of Goa. Mandovi joins with the Zuari at a common creek at Cabo Aguada, forming the Mormugao harbour.
