Tour of the vineyards and olive fields and wine tasting: First a walk in the fields to observe the olive trees, and the vines where we will illustrate the growing methods besides the history of the Chianti area and its quality oriented evolution over the years . Then we will visit the wine cellars. In the fermentation area we will reveal our wine making techniques, then in the ageing area, we will show you the different types of oak barrels used for the various wines and their particular types of aging.
The tour will conclude with its highlight : the wine tasting where we will give you notions on what to look for when tasting a wine and the best way to combine a particular wine to different foods. You will taste 3 types of red wine: Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Riserva and Montarsiccio I.G.T. with bread and our Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Vin Santo and cantucci biscuits.
Tour include a snack to go with the wines: Local cold cuts such as cured ham ( prosciutto), salami and cheese, bread with our Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Balsamico
We will finish our wine experience with the most sacred food ceremony Vin Santo (dessert wine) and cantucci biscuits.
