Meerendal Wine Estate
Discover some of South Africa’s best wines, from award-winning estates, along this alternate wine route favoured by locals. You’ll travel through the majestic hills of the Northern Suburbs, a mere 30 minute drive from Cape Town’s CBD, to visit four wine estates, each offering a unique approach to wine making.
This tour includes round-trip transport via exclusive minivan, visits to 4 wine farms, and specified wine tasting. Your guide also offers helpful information about the places you’ll visit and the wines that you’ll taste. Cape Town – Durbanville – Cape Town
After pickup from your Cape Town accommodation, you’ll travel in a comfortable minivan for approximately 30 mins to your first stop of the day – Meerendal Wine Estate. Indulge in the Prestige tasting of some of the best of their wines as you look out over the Durbanville valley below.

Diemersdal
A short 10 minutes later you’ll arrive at Diemersdal Wine Estate. Take some time to wander the grounds and take pictures of the surrounds and Table Mountain, which can be seen standing proud in the distance. Sitting either outside (weather permitting) or in the tasting cellar, you’ll have the opportunity to taste the estate’s divine wines.

Leaving Diemersdal, you’ll wind your way through the Durbanville valley for roughly 20 mins to Nitida. This small wine farm is one of the youngest in the area, having only been started 25 years ago. That being said, they have truly made a name for themselves; producing award-winning wines and offering a warm welcome to all those who visit. Opt to either enjoy lunch at Cassia restaurant or at Tables Deli (own expense) before doing a full tasting.

A quick 5-minute drive will take you to the prestigious Durbanville Hills Wine Estate. Soak up the innumerable views of the surrounds, including the magnificent Table Bay with its Table Mountain backdrop. End off the day with a relaxed tasting of some of the best of their internationally renowned wines. And as a little extra, you’ll be given your very own Durbanville Hills crystal glass as a keepsake of this memorable day.
