Roccaporena, Santuario di S. Rita Roccaporena is a small and picturesque medieval village located a few kilometers from Cascia, in Umbria, and famous for being the birthplace of Santa Rita. In the heart of Roccaporena is the birthplace of Santa Rita, today an important pilgrimage point, where visitors can learn about the saint's life and her deep bond with the territory. The house has been transformed into a small museum, which collects objects related to his life and spirituality. In Roccaporena there is also the Sanctuary of Santa Rita, which includes the convent where the saint spent part of her youth and the small church that houses some relics attributed to her. Another significant place is the cave of Santa Rita, a natural refuge where the saint retired in prayer and meditation.
