Reach the entrance of Sainte Chapelle, located on Île de la Cité within the Palais de la Cité complex. Collect the audio guide, available in multiple languages, at the designated counter near the entrance. The audio guide will provide a brief introduction to the history of the chapel, built in the 13th century by King Louis IX to house the relics of Christ, including the Crown of Thorns. Begin your tour in the lower chapel, which was originally used by the palace staff. The audio guide will narrate the significance of the stunning rib-vaulted ceilings, rich blues, and gold decor.
