After breakfast, we will visit the Hassan second mosque the largest one in Africa and the 14 largest in the world. Afterward leave the largest economic city, and head towards the unique blue city of Chefchaouen. Head out for a walk to explore the vibrant blue city.

Hit the road to Fez, and visit the best-preserved archaeological site of Volubilis, the old Roman city. Afterward, drive a few minutes to Moulay Idriss Zerhoun for lunch. This famous town is known for the tomb of Idris I, the first Islamic leader of Morocco. Moulay Idriss Zerhoun is characterized by white houses dotted on the green hills. Continue our journey to the spiritual and intellectual heart of Morocco. Check in at your accommodation and then head out for a delicious pastilla for dinner; a traditional dish of Fez medina.

After breakfast, it is time to visit the largest and oldest medina in the world, Fez. The medina is known as the center of both Islamic and Jewish culture and education. Your leader will share its history while walking through the narrow streets and alleyways of the medina. Visit a madrasa or Quranic school, Chouara tanneries, and the oldest Quaraouine Mosque which was the leading spiritual and educational center of the Muslim world. Today we get lost in the labyrinth of Fez medina where workshops, bazaars, tailors, and restaurants are dotted throughout packed passageways.

Today is a road trip to the Sahara. Leave the hustle of Fez behind and drive through the cedar forest and fertile valleys with changing landscapes from the mountains to the small village of Merzouga in the desert. Set up in our camp and ride camels to catch an amazing sunset through the middle of the dunes of the Sahara.

Check in at our accommodation and walk about 1 hour through the winding streets to discover the fortified village of Ksar Ait Ben Haddou. Ladies, it’s time to meet with Berber women of the town to enjoy mint tea and henna tattoos.
