Krakow Our tour starts with transportation from Krakow, either from your specified hotel or a meeting point of your choice. Salt Mine is located in Wieliczka, approximately 40 minutes away (20 km). All of our drivers hold the necessary EU certifications for passenger transport. A friendly, English-speaking group leader will be available to assist you whenever needed. On-site you'll be introduced to a professional local guide, licensed by the Salt Mine.

Wieliczka Salt Mine Visit the Wieliczka Salt Mine, one of Poland’s top attractions that's on UNESCO's World List of Cultural and Natural Heritage. The half-day skip-the-line tour departs from Krakow. Learn about the salt mine that is the best-preserved site of its type in the world. Opened in the 13th century, it has been in continuous operation since that time. Explore some of the 300 kilometers of hallways extending over 9 levels and reaching depths of 327 meters. See the chambers and chapels in the mine's underground city, including the famous St. Kinga Chapel, visited each year by more than a million tourists from all over the world.

Krakow At the end of the tour, you won’t be rushed. You’ll have at least a 15-minute break. After another 40 minutes of travel, you will be taken to Schinder's Factory Museum.

Fabryka Emalia Oskara Schindlera Driver will leave you in front of the museum, where tour guide will wait for you. Oskar Schindler’s Factory will show you the story of a man who devoted himself to save lives of Jewish people. What’s more, the museum represents Krakow from the World War II period and due to interactive exhibitions you can feel as you were walking the streets of old-time Krakow! After another 1 hour and 30 minutes of guided tour, you will be taken to a designated address in Krakow. After the tour you may attend the 1h Old Town Evening Walking Tour provided by a Local Guide. Your participation will be free of charge.

•  Temperatures in Wieliczka Salt Mine are around 15ºC.
•  At the entrance, visitors descend 400 steps down and the whole tourist route features over 800 stairs. Narrow paths in the Salt Mine can seem claustrophobic and there is no possibility to shorten your visit and turn back.
•  In the Salt Mine taking photos and filming is possible only after purchasing an additional pass, which costs 10zł PLN or €2,5 EURO in cash only.
•  There are no restrictions regarding the age of children in the Salt Mine, but they should be either capable of walking unassisted or carried in baby slings or baby carriers. Baby pushchairs are not allowed underground.
•  Exhibition halls in Schindler’s Factory are wheelchair accessible.
•  Your hand luggage should be in a reasonable size and your larger luggage should be left in the car.
