Our Lady of Czestochowa / The Black Madonna
Your tour starts with pickup from your Krakow hotel (if option selected) at a time of your choosing. Traveling in the comfort of a private air-conditioned Mercedes Benz vehicle with an English-speaking driver, set out on the around 2-hour journey to Czestochowa.
On arrival, enjoy a self-guided tour of the Jasna Gora Monastery and Sanctuary, and important Catholic pilgrimage site, where you can visit the shrine of Black Madonna, the Treasury, and the on-site museum. Every year, pilgrims from all around Poland come to Jasna Gora to contemplate the Passion of Christ by following the Stations of the Cross, represented by large bronze statues surrounded by beautiful greenery. Some of the pilgrims even decide to move from one station to the next on their knees.
