Emerald Lake enchants in every season. Before freezing, its crystal-clear waters mirror the peaks and forests, creating a vibrant green contrast. In winter, it becomes a tranquil, snow-covered wonderland.
Peyto Lake dazzles with its turquoise hue before winter, mirroring rugged peaks. Once frozen, it turns into a peaceful icy landscape, with its wolf-head shape visible from Bow Summit, framed by snowy mountains.

You will see a serene collection of lakes reflecting the surrounding mountains. They can enjoy picturesque views, go wildlife spotting, and capture stunning photographs.

Castle Mountain (Blackfoot: Miistukskoowa) is a mountain located within Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies, approximately halfway between Banff and Lake Louise.

Lower Spiral Tunnels Viewpoint

Peyto Lake
Visitors can witness a stunning turquoise-colored lake nestled amidst the Canadian Rockies, where, before the freeze, the vibrant hue of the water—caused by glacial rock flour suspended in the lake—shimmers against the surrounding peaks. As the lake begins to freeze, the turquoise waters gradually give way to a smooth, icy surface, creating a mesmerizing contrast with the snow-covered landscape. Surrounding viewpoints offer breathtaking vistas of this natural wonder in both its vibrant and frozen states, making it a must-see for nature enthusiasts and photographers year-round.

Mount Rundle Viewpoint
Mt. Rundle could actually be considered a small mountain range as the mountain extends for over 12 kilometres (7.5 mi), on the south side of the Trans-Canada Highway eastward from Banff to Canmore with seven distinct peaks along the way. The third peak southeast of Banff is the highest at 9,675 feet (2,949 m).
