Wilsons Mountain Sports Before reaching Lake Louise, we'll make a stop at the Lake Louise Village, where you’ll have the opportunity to rent ice skates at a special 10% discount. For those interested in gliding across the frozen lake, this is your chance to gear up! The rental shop offers a variety of sizes and the rental fee is an additional charge paid directly at the shop. If skating isn’t on your agenda, feel free to explore the outdoor gear shop for winter essentials or relax in one of the cozy cafés, sipping a warm drink as you take in the charming village.

Lake Louise Our first main stop is the iconic Lake Louise, where the frozen lake and snow-draped peaks create a scene of pure winter magic. You’ll have 90 minutes to immerse yourself in the season’s splendor. Glide gracefully across the ice on your newly rented skates, take a leisurely stroll to admire the breathtaking scenery, or marvel at the intricate ice sculptures that add a touch of artistry to the landscape. If you prefer a cozy retreat, warm up with a steaming beverage as you soak in the serene beauty that surrounds you. Please remember to dress warmly and comfortably for the weather. The Canadian Rockies in winter can be quite cold, so layered clothing, warm hats, gloves, and sturdy boots are essential to ensure you stay comfortable and enjoy your adventure to the fullest.

Johnston Canyon As the day continues, we’ll head to Johnston Canyon, a true winter paradise. To help you fully enjoy and safely explore the area, we provide ice cleats and hiking poles. Upon arrival, you’ll have 2 hours of free time to explore this magical landscape at your own pace (Self-Guided). Wander along the snow-covered trail to the enchanting Lower Falls, where you can pass through a natural cave to catch a mesmerizing view of the frozen waterfall. Continuing onward, you'll reach the impressive Upper Falls, where a towering pillar of ice rises 30 meters into the sky. The shimmering icicles and tranquil winter atmosphere create an unforgettable scene, and with luck, you may even spot ice climbers scaling the frozen walls. And if you ever need anything or wish to return early, our cozy shuttle will always be nearby, ready to welcome you back with hot drinks and a warm seat.

•  Participants should be fit and healthy enough to hike the trail at Johnston Canyon, as the paths can be icy and uneven, especially in winter. The hike to the Lower Falls is 1.2 km one way with a 50 m elevation gain, taking about 1 hour round trip. This section includes some gentle inclines and a series of narrow walkways suspended along the canyon walls, offering stunning views of the icy creek below. You’ll pass through a short, low-ceilinged cave to get an up-close view of the frozen waterfall. For those continuing to the Upper Falls, be prepared for a longer, more challenging trek of 2.5 km one way with a 120 m elevation gain, which takes approximately 2 hours round trip. This section features steeper inclines, switchbacks, and additional lookout points with panoramic views of the towering ice walls and snow-draped forest. Ice cleats and hiking poles are provided for better traction, but sturdy, insulated boots are highly recommended. Please dress warmly and be prepared for cold, snowy conditions.
