Nazare
Praia da Nazaré is a neighborhood, on the seafront, of one of the most traditional Portuguese fishing villages, Nazaré , having the most popular bathing beach on the West coast , in the Center region , where you can still find, on the sand, some women dressed in the traditional costume of seven skirts, taking care of the fish that dries in the sun, lined up on stakes.
The bathing beach, completely integrated into the urban area by the houses on the waterfront, is limited to the north by the promontory and to the south by the harbor jetty, retaining traditional cloth tents with brightly colored stripes in summer . Bathed by seas that are sometimes rough and have strong waves, it is ideal for swimming, surfing and bodyboarding.

Sintra
In the town of Sintra we can find testimonies from practically all periods of Portuguese history and, often, with a dimension that surpassed, due to its importance, the limits of this territory. In Sintra's candidacy for World Heritage/Cultural Landscape with UNESCO, the aim was to classify an entire area that was assumed to be a cultural and environmental context with specific characteristics: a cultural unit that has remained intact in a multitude of palaces and parks; of manor houses and their respective gardens and forests; of mansions and chalets set amidst lush vegetation; of extensive walled sections that crown the highest peaks of the mountain. Also a multitude of meditation convents among cliffs, woods and fountains: churches, chapels and hermitages, secular centers of faith and art; in short, an intact cultural unit in a plethora of archaeological remains that point to occupations that are several thousand years old.
