A 3-hour walking tour, to discover the most important places in the historic center of Lucca. You will stroll along cobbled streets between stately buildings, severed towers, ancient squares. I will tell you the stories of the Tuscan city never dominated by the Medici, the Guinigi Family, the love stories of the Napoleonic era and I will make you visit and visit the Cathedral of San Martino and the Basilica of San Frediano.
We will walk from the walls to the Cathedral of San Martino. Inside I will tell you the story of the "Holy Face" and the monument to Ilaria del Carretto.
At the church of San Michele in Foro, for the sweet tooth, we can buy Buccellato. From there we will move to Via Fillungo, the shopping street and typical restaurants.
Inside the Basilica of San Frediano I will tell you the story of the patron saint of Lucca.
Then in Piazza Anfiteatro destination for those who want to enjoy an aperitif in a fascinating atmosphere and finally at the Guinigi tower with holm oaks on top, symbol of Lucca.

We cross the walls to enter the historic center of the city. The walls of Lucca, a UNESCO heritage site, are the best preserved Renaissance walls that can be seen in Tuscany

Once we arrive at the Cathedral of San Martino, we will visit the interior, I will tell you its history and those of the works found there, such as the Holy Face, the statue of Ilaria del Carretto and the paintings that adorn the naves.

A square where I will tell you stories of the imperial court, of loves and betrayals

The basilica contains the remains of Santa Zita, very dear to the people of Lucca and protector of servants and housewives
