Island Explorer Madeira 4x4 aims to make Madeira Island known by sharing cultural curiosities with fun. The objective is to offer a playful adventure, through tours through the most emblematic points of our island, also including off roading that only an all-terrain vehicle can provide.

The tour begins in Câmara de Lobos, a traditional fishing village that became known internationally through a painting by Sir Winston Churchill.
The landscape of this city is marked by the presence of characteristic fishing boats, called “Xavelhas”.

Cabo Girao
We will go to the Cabo Girão viewpoint, with the famous glass suspended platform - “skywalk”, currently one of the most visited tourist attractions.
Cabo Girão is the highest promontory in Europe at 580 meters high.
The Cabo Girão viewpoint offers an unparalleled perspective over the cities of Câmara de Lobos and Funchal.

Where you can see the emblematic Véu da Noiva Waterfall, whose beauty can be admired from the Véu da Noiva viewpoint.
Allow yourself to admire this abundant waterfall that bursts from the vegetation-covered hillside, projecting towards the sea.

Poca Das Lesmas
See the Well of Lesmas, in this sheltered place, the morphology of the rocks, of volcanic origin, forms natural pools with a peculiar profile. The dark tones of the rock formations contrast with the turquoise waters of the Atlantic Ocean, creating a picture that is impossible to remain indifferent to.

Porto Moniz
Porto Moniz known for its natural pools, one of the main attractions on the north coast. This is where we stop for lunch and also for those who want to swim in the volcanic pools.
Furthermore, the surrounding landscape, with a panoramic perspective of the sea coast and its rocks, leaves no one indifferent.

Miradouro Ribeira da Janela
Ribeira da Janela, where the watercourse with the same name flows. It refers to the most extensive watercourse formed in the interior of the island. Ribeira da Janela is famous for its imposing mountains, where the green of the slopes is complemented by the crystal clear blue of the Atlantic.

Posto Florestal Fanal
Fanal is known for its mystical landscape, marked by the presence of a centuries-old tis forest - these specimens date back to a time before the discovery of the archipelago.
In this place you will find a vast forest area that invites you to peacefully enjoy the best that Nature has to offer. This idyllic space is one of the most emblematic places in the municipality of Porto Moniz, housing a landscape heritage of great beauty.

Ponta Do Sol
Ponta de Sol, with its stunning beaches and typical villages, is known for being the one that enjoys the greatest number of hours of sunshine per year.
Therefore, it is where two famous products from Madeira Island are grown, bananas and sugar cane. Floriculture and horticulture also play prominent roles.

Serra de Agua
Passing between the north and south of the Island, Taberna da Poncha is a mandatory stop to enjoy the famous traditional Madeiran drink, poncha.
Poncha a pescador, the traditional one, is made with brandy, lemon peel crushed with sugar. As time went by, they began to make other ponchas such as regional, passion fruit and tangerine.
Being also a typical Madeiran drink, they added nikita to the list. If it is made with alcohol, it is made with pineapple ice cream and beer. In the non-alcoholic version, the beer is replaced by passion fruit breeze. Thinking about children who often accompany their parents, Taberna da Poncha started making alcohol-free poncha.
