What sets this temple apart is its dual entrance, each dedicated to a different deity: "Haroeris" with his falcon head and "Sobek" with his crocodile head. The Temple of Kom Ombo pays homage to both of these ancient Egyptian gods: the crocodile-headed Sobek, the god of fertility and creator of the world, and Haroeris, the falcon-headed Horus.
