What To Expect
Join Fotini and Christo in their kitchen for a private cooking class in Athens! This is not a formal cooking class; it feels like you’re cooking with friends. In this 1 to 1.5-hour session, you will learn to cook simple, authentic Greek recipes. A few dishes from the islands will be prepared by Christo, some by Fotini, and a few will be cooked in advance.
You will work together to make two dishes, with the class being a blend of demonstration and hands-on experience. First, you’ll help Fotini and Christo chop the ingredients, and then they will show you how the dishes are prepared. Christo will teach you to make two traditional Greek dishes—trachanas soup, soutzoukakia, or hilopittes (Greek pasta) with village sausage and feta cheese or eggplants in the oven (menu varies depending on the season). Later, Fotini will guide you in preparing parsley salad and papoudia salad—some portions of the sweet dish will be pre-prepared, as it requires a long cooking time.
After cooking, sit down together at Fotini’s beautifully decorated dining table, surrounded by eclectic decor, to savor the delicious meal you’ve created.
