Jantar Mantar - Jaipur The Jantar Mantar, in Jaipur, is an astronomical observation site built in the early 18th century. Here, you can see the 19 astronomical instruments established by Rajput monarch Sawai Jai Singh, the founder of the city of Jaipur in Rajasthan. They are monumental examples in masonry of known instruments but which in many cases have specific characteristics of their own. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the world's biggest stone sundial. It is close to the City Palace and the Hawa Mahal.
