The journey continues along Sintra beaches until the majestic Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe, where the Atlantic Ocean stretches before you, creating a sense of standing on the edge of the world.

It was built in the 18th century. People used to come to this fountain to fill their bottles by draining natural water and humidity from the top of the mountain. It is the largest source we have in Sintra.

Sintra National Palace
The center of Sintra village marks the landscape with the unmistakable architecture of the two conical chimneys that overlap the royal kitchen. It is the only palace that has spanned the entire history of Portugal.

Built in the last half of the XIX century by José Luís Monteiro inspired by different styles, such as that of Luigi Manini and among others, by order of the Biester family.

Castelo dos Mouros
Isolated high up, on one of the peaks of the Sintra mountain, the Moorish Castle is a fortification founded in the 10th century, a time of Muslim occupation of the Iberian Peninsula. Its famous walls snake through the mountains with their granite blocks between rocks and cliffs.

Park and National Palace of Pena
The great sacred jewel of Portugal was built in the 19th century by D. Fernando II, from Austria, who married the Portuguese queen.
Its contrasting colors highlight the view of a mountain peak full of mysteries.

Quinta da Regaleira
Ordered to be built by António Augusto Monteiro and commissioned to the Italian Luigi Manini. This is where the famous Initiatory Well is located, with an unparalleled mystique along with the resulting tunnels and lakes.

Palácio de Seteais, an elegant palace located near the Sintra village, was built in the 18th century for the Dutch consul, Daniel Gildemeester, on a portion of land provided by Marquês de Pombal.
Nowadays, it belongs to the Tivoli Hotel Group.

Parque e Palacio de Monserrate
A writers' retreat, Monserrate attracted countless foreign travelers, especially English, who extolled its beauty in travel reports and engravings. When Francis Cook, a wealthy 19th-century English industrialist and major art collector, visited the site, he was fascinated. From this passion, it was born a masterpiece of Romanticism: the Park and Palace of Monserrate.
Kindly be aware that this tour is just outside the monuments. The ticket to visit it inside costs 8€ but this is not part of this experience, you would have to go on your own.

As its name suggests, it is a beach of more than two kilometers, making it the largest beach in Sintra. Very popular among surfers and bodyboarders, having already been on the stage for numerous European and world championships of these modalities.

Praia das Macas
A beach measuring approximately 250 meters that has a sea very propitious to the practice of surf due to its very strong waves. Several commercial establishments have been set up, from restaurants to cafes and bars, as well as local craft houses, transforming the bach as a meeting point for people from Sintra, who enjoy their terraces and excellent food.
Additionally, another attraction of this area is the famous tram ride that connects the center of Sintra village and ends at the seaside, at Praia das Maçãs.

Praia das Azenhas do Mar
A former fishing village, in recent decades it has become a peaceful vacation spot and a place of inspiration for many painters.
This beach, of only thirty meters wide, is so small that it practically disappears at high tide. However, its splendid landscape, with white houses perched on the cliffs overlooking the sea, became a must-see tourist destination for anyone visiting the Sintra region.

Farol do cabo da Roca
The most western point of continental Europe, where the highest point is the sunset, not forgetting the stunning view from the entire coast of Sintra to the coast of Cascais. And yes, on the opposite side, we have America!

Guincho Beach
The stunning Cascais coast that accompanies us along the road, allows us to pass through an entrance surrounded by dunes, lighthouses, and all the perfect waves for lovers of extreme sea sports.

This small palace, open to the public, glimpses the charm experienced at that time with a small private beach in front, which greatly encourages the right time for a swim. With Cascais Marina soon follows to enjoy a meal.

An elegant fort with a small village inside that anticipates Cascais Marina.

The center of Cascais for seafood lovers, the famous fishermen's beach, and a whole organizational charm around it.
From Cascais, there is also direct transport to Lisbon which takes you to Cais de Sodré, very close to Chiado, Bairro Alto, and Pink Street.

Palacio Seixas
Built-in 1837 by Joaquim António de Seixas as a summer residence for his family, it has been transformed into a museum, illustrating fascinating historical artifacts related to both Portugal’s colonial past as well as its more recent independence movement during the 19th century.
