If walking is not part of you, but you want to get to Vinicunca mountain, this is your best option to visit it. You will pass through high Andean landscapes of the Vilcanota Mountain Range. You will only walk for 10 minutes to the Vinicunca mountain viewpoint, where you will appreciate its majestic scenery, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and mountains of different colors.

What To Expect

The trip begins with pickup from your hotel at approximately 4:00 – 4:30 am. depending on the location of your hotel.
We began the trip in our transportation for approximately 2 hours 45 minutes heading to Pitumarca – Hapura; In this place we will have time to enjoy our breakfast at a local restaurant in the area.
After breakfast we continue the trip by transport to Qosqopata, from here our ATV adventure begins.
ATV driving takes 30 minutes one way to reach the mountain of colors.
The walking time from the end of the ATVs to Rainbow Mountain is 10 minutes. To take all the photographs, if you like more photographs you have to walk more 15 minutes to reach the summit to take panoramic photographs, free time approximately 40 minutes.

Then we will return on the ATVs along the same route, to take transportation to Pitumarca, then enjoy lunch.
Then we return to Cusco arriving at 4:40 pm approximately two blocks from the Plaza de Armas Cusco, Calle San Bernardo.
