After meeting in the marina park we head to the Plaza de Santo Domingo, which is a place to enjoy the groupings that provide serenades, It is the favorite if you enjoy the nightlife. Then we continue the tour to the bolivar park, also known as Bolivar Square, is an urban park located in the historic center of the Colombian city of Cartagena de Indias. It is an emblematic site of the city, full of historical and cultural symbolism. It was originally called Plaza de la Iglesia, later Plaza Mayor, where the military acts of the time took place, but in 1610 the Holy Court of the Inquisition was installed in Cartagena and took the name Plaza de la Inquisición. In 1896 the equestrian statue of Simon Bolivar was installed and since then it was renamed Bolivar Square.

Plaza de la Aduana We continue the tour to the customs square that is considered the oldest and largest square in Cartagena de Indias, the first name by which it was known was Plaza del Mar because it was located very close to what was the first port of Cartagena, In 1970 it receives the name of customs square because the offices of the adune were installed in it, in 1894 it was changed to that of colon square because it was installed in a sculpture to Cristobal colon, later in the twentieth century it is changed again to Rafael Núñez square in posthumous tribute to the illustrious Cartagenero who was 4 times president of Colombia, the reality is that the latter is its official name, but by old custom of the cartageneros it continues to be called customs square, since none of the names given after being so named have been received.

This square, together with the Church, is the sanctuary to Saint Peter Claver; and with the sculpture to Saint Peter Claver, a set of tributes to this important figure in the city.The first name by which he was known was that of Saint John of God Square, and then he received the name of Saint Ignatius of Loyola Square, which are names that had at the time the church, after the church took the name of Saint Peter Claver, the square took the same name and became one of the many places that pay tribute to Saint Peter Claver, recognized for his ecclesiastical work on behalf of slaves brought from Africa.
