The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities
The biggest collection of Egyptian artefacts in the world is kept at the Egyptian Museum, which is situated in Cairo, Egypt. It has a sample selection of its roughly 120,000 artefacts on exhibit. It is the biggest museum in Africa and is housed in a structure constructed in 1901. Pharaoh Tutankhamun's treasure, which includes the iconic gold burial mask generally regarded as one of the best-known works of art in the world and a significant emblem of ancient Egypt, is among its treasures.
Numerous significant artefacts from ancient Egyptian history can be found in the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. The largest collection of Pharaonic artefacts in the entire world is kept there. The museum was founded by the Egyptian government and built in 1835 close to the Ezbekieh Garden. It was then relocated to the Cairo Citadel. All of the artefacts were donated to Archduke Maximilian of Austria by the Egyptian government in 1855; they are now on display at the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna.
