To safeguard crops from natural disasters caused by Typhoon Maemi in 2003, Baek Soon-sam constructed the Ma?miseong Fortress, which is also known as the Forrest. The square stones were repeatedly hoarded near the beach and filled with cement to create a castle that is
now reminiscent of medieval times in Europe. Despite the lack of a blueprint, it is impressive in terms of its size and design.

Go to Geoje, and discover the Geumgang River, which is a must-see spot on GeoJedo Island. Haegeumgang River is a rock island that forms part of Hallyeo Marine National Park, an official green area in South Korea. Taking a ship around the island will once again leave you in enchantment with sights such as Maitreya Rock, Candlestick Rock and the guardian pine tree of Haegeumgang River. If the cruise is cancelled, it will be replaced with an indoor sightseeing tour such as Jungle Dome, which showcases thousands of living species and compares itself with Disney's renowned The Jungles Book.

Geoje's Historic Park, P. O. W."One of the original sites, which is now known as Camp, was a prisoner-of-war camp that was used during the Korean War (1950-1953). The park is now utilized as a place of memorialization and education, providing remembrance for the war's victims and their experiences in captivity.
